Corbett National Park was established in 1936 and named after famous Hunter “Jim Corbett” who hunted many man eater tigers in his entire life to save the life of villagers surrounded by those areas. Corbett is situated in the foothills of the Himalayas of Uttarakhand and a paradise for wildlife nature lovers. Many visitors from across the country visit Jim Corbett National Park every year which cover the area of 520.8 sq km.
Corbett has been considered as one of the tiger spotted sanctuary and many other various species as well. As Royal Bengal tiger rule this sanctuary and a hub for them but also its a home for abundance of other species like leopards, monkeys, sambhar, spotted deer, mongoose, Bears and birds like Winged Kite, Serpent Eagle, Shrikes etc.
Corbett is a place famous for tiger sight- seeing by a safari which is an unforgettable experience in anyone’s life. There are various safari zones like Bijrani, Dhikala, Jhirna, Domunda and Sonanadi from where one can experience and touch the beauty of nature. The Corbett Tiger Reserve brings three fascinating safari experience and that are: Elephant, Canter and Jeep Safari.

It is 300 kms from Delhi which makes it an ideal adventurous and fascinating place to enjoy and relax in the nature’s lap. The nearest railway station is Ramnagar which is well connected to Delhi & Lucknow by Road and rail as Ramnagar is 60 kms from Nainital. Its a drive of almost 6 hrs from Delhi towards Corbett and also has a connectivity of buses as well from Delhi and Lucknow towards Ramnagar, the nearest place to Corbett National Park.
